  2. The first time I shot with the D800 was at High Park in Toronto, to see the cherry blossoms that had appeared for a limited time. The park was congested with people taking several pictures of the cherry blossoms and themselves.

  3. It’s been a while…

My apologies for not posting since Christmas, but I was extremely occupied and focused with my last semester at school.  I have finally completed my undergrad at the University of Toronto, with a Specialist degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology.  Further, I recently made a switch in systems, from Canon, and bought a Nikon D800 with two Nikkor lenses.  I have been practicing with my new camera, while starting to train my eye and shoot daily. Hence I promise to keep my blog updated weekly.

  7. This was one of the gatherings held for Sarah’s wedding where there were no men allowed into the hall, since it was a traditional Muslim wedding.  Thus, it was an only ladies event and the men were in a separate room.  Being the only photographer on the ladies side, I had to make sure that I wasn’t violating the privacy of any individuals by taking photos without their consent.  This was my first time covering an “only ladies” wedding function.

  8. Recently, I assisted a wedding photographer in Toronto with my first Jewish wedding.  Unfortunately, I won’t be posting any of those pictures, since the couple didn’t want any of their images floating around on websites. Hopefully, I will get another chance in the future to cover a Jewish wedding again and there should be no problems posting those photos.

  9. Another assistant job from NarimanPhotos, for the bride Rachel Karmally and groom Junaid Hashim who make their grand entrance during the mendhi (henna) ceremony. The bride, Rachel does a dance performance for family and friends.  The following day, the marriage ceremony takes place where the groom and his side of family and friends parade into the courtyard. All the groomsmen were made to wear boutonnieres.
